This Dairy Barn was demolished in July of 2012.The Barn was located by Rembrandt, Iowa. There was also a beautiful 3 story farm house that was demolished with the barn. I was allowed to salvage some things from the barn before it was destroyed. I had mixed feelings when I was removing the doors off the barn. I felt as if I was part of the demolition! But then I began to run around removing all that I could with the feeling I was saving pieces of it. Either way it is gone now.

I have created many fine art images of barns. I feel by photographing a barn....I am preserving its memory in a small way. Many of the Barns shown here are no longer standing.
